The Edelbrock AVS is a very easy carb to tune,
you will need a jetting kit(includes jets needles and springs)
The little booklet that comes with the carb is a most exelent guide
Did you get a 1405 or 1406?

BTW: its an exelent street carb, however, it sucks off road as it floods easily due to the float chamber design.
